Business License Online Renewal

Eligibility
Business tax accounts must renew by mail if any of the following apply:
* Filing a Low Income Housing Exemption
* Renewing Cannabis Accounts (P tax type)

If there has been a change of ownership DO NOT renew online. Contact the Business Tax office at (510) 238-3704 or btwebsupport@oaklandca.gov for instructions.
Process
To prevent any errors, use only one internet browser window to renew. If renewing multiple accounts, go through the entire renewal process one at a time. When each renewal is completed, close the internet browser window and open a new internet browser window to complete the next renewal.

Business tax certificates will be emailed 2 to 5 days after sucessfully renewing account.
